生物化学

生物化学 focuses on the chemical basis of biological processes. 学生 receive fundamental education in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. 生物化学 is an interdisciplinary program that applies fundamental biochemical and molecular biological approaches to problems in medicine, 农业, and environmental sciences. The department supports student interest in computational molecular modeling, 生物信息学, 与基因组学. All students are strongly encouraged to participate in undergraduate re搜索 with one or more faculty members. Through experiential learning, students are able to creatively use the skills and knowledge obtained through their in-major coursework to better prepare themselves for the future. Graduates receive a bachelor of science degree and are prepared for employment as well as for admission to graduate programs (M.S. 和Ph值.D.) and professional schools in medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine.
